Event Standby

Boundary Ambulance request a minimum of one (1) hour reimbursement for crews that are cancelled after arriving at any prescheduled event. Boundary Ambulance also request that event requests are a minimum of two (2) hours. Any cancelations must be submitted 24 hours in advance or event will be billed for the entirety of the event coverage.

Courtesy Standby:

One of our on-duty ambulances will attempt to stage at your event in the City of Bonners Ferry. Even though we will make a good faith effort to cover your event, the ambulance and crew will remain on call for emergency 911 activation and may be called away from the event at any time. Based on our emergency call load and other factors the ambulance may or may not be available for your event. The ambulance and crew will not be dedicated to the event and there is no guarantee that the ambulance and crew will be able to stage at any of your event.

There is no charge for this level of standby. This option is only open to non-profit agencies such as schools, churches and civic clubs.

EMT Ambulance (EMT-Basic Level)- No charge.

Dedicated Standby - Nonprofit/Charity:

We will dedicate an ambulance to your event. Per your official request, and our confirmation, we will arrive at the designated time and remain for the entirety of the event. As outlined in “charges”, below,we will charge for the time spent at the event plus prep and travel (typically ½ hour before and ½ hour after the event). The nonprofit/charity charge is only available to nonprofit agencies and nonprofit/charity events. These charges are designed to only defray a portion of our costs. Based on our determination of the appropriateness of the request, we reserve the right to allow or disallow the use of this charge.

BLS Ambulance (EMT-Basic Level) - $25.00 per hour

Dedicated Standby – For Profit/Business:

We will dedicate an ambulance to your event. Per your official request, and our confirmation, we will arrive at the designated time and remain for the entirety of the event. As outlined in “charges”, below,we will charge for the time spent at the event plus prep and travel (typically ½ hour before and ½ hour after the event).These charges are designed to defray our direct costs but do not cover the full costs or overhead.

ALS Ambulance (Paramedic Level) – 100.00 per hour

BLS Ambulance (EMT-Basic Level) – 60.00 per hour

ALS Single Role Paramedic – 50.00 per hour

BLS Single Role EMT – 30.00 per hour
